Direct X 8.0a

  • 1) Extract the DirectX Installer

    The Direct X installer comes in a self extracting package.

    Extract it to a location of your choice. In this example we are extracting to the same location that we have been using, the drivers folder.

  • 2) Execute DirectX Setup

    Simply start the dxsetup program.

    You will then be prompted with the next screen.

  • 3) Hit Install

    After selecting install, Direct X should automatically update.

    You are now running the most recent Direct X version for Windows 95. Restart if prompted to do so.
